The Morrigan
Co-Creating with the Goddess, The Morrigan’s cauldron of life, death, and rebirth energy attunement and ritual petitions
The Morrigan is in the rivers and rains, caves, mounds, hills, and valleys. She is the beginning and end. In battle, she brings a swift death while also being a guardian of death, protecting us from its finality. She is the raging storm that irradicates all in its path and the rainbow that follows, filling our hearts with hope. Morrigan is in everything and in nothing.
The Morrigan often leaves us with more questions than answers, but that is perhaps the greatest gift she bestows upon her priestesses. She creates space by requiring us to ask. And in the stillness of the unanswerable void, we feel truly alive. The spaciousness Morrigan creates is fertile land for deeply felt moments and transformative experiences. It is hallowed ground between the storm and the rainbow to commune not only with her but with ourselves.
A warrior but also a queen, Morrigan demands respect. She will come to us when she is ready but will not fight to be heard and is often unwilling to come forth to answer our questions before we are willing to ask the same of ourselves. It is up to us to make way for Morrigan through profound contemplation.
